Is my code uploaded to your servers? +
No. The vault stays on your machine; only metadata (probe results, status snapshots) flows to the SaaS DO. Pro adds optional R2 backup of the vault — you own the keys, you can opt out.
Which AI tools are supported on cold start? +
Claude Code, Codex CLI, OpenCode, Pi Agent, GitHub Copilot CLI. Custom shims documented in /docs.
Can I export my data? +
Yes. `vck export-zip` (or one click in Settings → Danger Zone) gives you the entire vault as a portable ZIP. Obsidian-compatible out of the box.
How is this different from Cursor / Copilot / Claude Code Memory? +
VCK is the source of truth that lives between sessions. Cursor / Copilot are editors. Claude Code Memory is per-session. VCK is one vault all your tools cold-start from.

AGPL-3.0 for self-hosted; commercial license available at /commercial. SaaS subscription is a separate product.
Where do agents run? +
